Wednesday

We went to Cromer today, it’s another small seaside resort but it always seems less genteel than Hunstanton and Sheringham. The pier is quite famous (I can’t quite remember why!). I tripped at one point, images flashed through my mind of broken cameras and binoculars dad saw me falling flat on my face. As it was I got a foot down, flipping bruised it though so I didn’t do a lot of walking at the next step Felbrigg Hall. Still you’ve seen the pond/lake before.

I’m actually quite pleased with the Blackbird, taken with a travel lens!

As you can see this week I’ve been less “hyperactive” than normal, this does mean I’m getting through the books! Its been an excellent week so far, no rain and as I type Sir is cooking a sirloin steak ;)

Tuesday

We started off by going into Kings Lynn and then went on to the Queen’s Estate at Sandringham. Which, given an event in January, was emotional for Dad and I. Whilst eating my Sarnie I espied a Brown Hawker dragonfly and on the lakes were lots of young birds.

The church is quite famous, we see it every year when the Queen goes for the Christmas morning service. Annoyingly it doesn’t allow photos. I’m not sure why, it’s the only parish church I’ve found that actively forbids it.

I won’t waffle on but you can enjoy pictures of the grounds and museum.

Monday

Well the weather was marginally cooler today. It was lovely.

We went to Hunstanton, as I drove along the sea road a Fulmar floated above the cliffs. It’s another small traditional seaside resort. I pointed the bins off shore and saw 2 Sarnie Terns, 4 Canada Geese, 2 shelduck, nothing “exciting”.

I’ve played many a game of putting here with dad.

So to Holkham Hall. We went for a walk around the lake which had lots of young ducks and geese. Saw a few damsels I couldn’t id (flitting all over the place) but a Large Red perched. Also my first pic of the year of a Speckled Wood (naff pic – had travel lens on).

Lots of deer.

Never been in the church, I keep forgetting to get the key from the estate shop.

Another very relaxing and enjoyable day.
