The gardens are only open once a month and today was the day for July. Today was a World War II day with the Walden Big Band playing war time tunes (Glenn Miller Cole Porter etc)
Apparently this was a wartime ration. My father would have been reminiscing
We sat and listened to the music whilst drinking and eating a nice piece of chocolate cake.
Mum would def have been reminiscing too! And the choccie cake was rather yummy!
