Well I have a camera again - relief.
Nikon will clean your sensor for you for £25 whilst you wait. Annoyingly they are only open Monday - Friday. Although if you are in the area rather near to the National Trusts Ham House.
Fixation are open Saturday mornings and will clean your sensor for £25 + vat regarless of make. They are recommended by Gray's of Westminster amongst others.
I went and asked local camera shop if they cleaned camera sensors, and they said no, but I could have it cleaned in a town clean over at the other side of Scotland.
