I thought non-UK readers would like proof that we are all stark raving bonkers.
In the UK we have a number of quaint customs. For example every year people run down the 1 in 2 Cooper's Hill in Brockworth, Gloucestershire. They chase after a cheese (honestly!) and the object is to catch the cheese. If no one gets to the cheese then the first down wins the cheese.

ReplyDeleteI had thought that I might be able to produce a clickable link to the BBC news item I posted earlier - so I used the (free) TinyURL program to reduce the length of the original link that I posted, but it made no difference.
