Hyde Hall

The world is slowly reopening. My plan was to avoid places at weekends but the chance to meet with my friends Rebecca and Stuart was too good to miss. We chose Hyde Hall which is a Royal Horticultural Society gardens South East of Chelmsford.

The day started with surprisingly good weather I made the  decision to wear a light jacket over a jumper and one point almost took it off.

We found a spot to eat our socially distanced picnic (which Rebecca and Stuart provided very nice too :) ). We had just finished when the heavens opened. Many people dashed for the exit we just got umbrellas out ! Really lucky I out a coat on!

As well as these Canada Geese, there was a little Grebe, Coot and Tuffed Duck none of which I have seen in months! Later we saw a Common Tern but that was over the small pond where the mallard was.

People were very well behaved distancing wise with the exception being one of two families whose kids were running around. It was all well organised and the staff were very friendly.

It was a nice day despite the rain, especially to see and talk to someone other than me :)

So glad you got out and met friends Pete. A lovely set of photos. It does look fairly quiet there and easy to social distance.
