Packwood

I met up with fellow blogger Ragged Robin at Packwood

Packwood is a couple of miles down the road from Baddesley, it was heavily victorianised and from 1925 Baron Ash restored it removing the "improvements". It has a yew garden alas unfortunately some of yew trees are diseased.

Ash, his name was really Baron!, transformed a cow barn into the great hall. It could be argued Packwood is a pastiche but I do think he did it well.

curiously it hammered down on arrival and when I ate my scone and left.... but was dry and sunny in between!!
