Guernsey Day 1 - St Peter Port

And so two years later I find myself on a plane to Guernsey!

Guernsey has its own airline, Aurigny, and there is something civilized about flying with them. You get a complimentary local paper and flights are only 2 a breast instead of 3 on Easy Jet, Ryanair etc.

The flight was 50 minutes and by 10:30 I was walking in the island capital St Peter Port.

The seafront is closed to traffic on Sundays. There are lots of craft and food stalls!

Prosecco Van!!

In the background is Fenella the genius behind Fort Grey Blue Cheese .... yum!

Bentley comes from Guernsey so he had to come home eh? Nice to eat Chips on the seafront for a change!

The Occupation memorial.

There are two Costa Coffees on Guernsey..... so.....

Rock Pipit.

Castle Cornet

A really good first day with lovely weather..... alas we had to wait a few days to get such colours again.

Lovely photos - looks glorious in the sunshine :) Actually have been to St Peter Port although only seen it from a ferry! Ferry stopped there en route to Jersey!
