Lynmouth, Watersmeet & Arlington Court

Luckily I am on holiday so I can wander off to nice places and ignore the referendum.....

I headed to Lynmouth a small village on the edge of Exmoor. Thomas Gainsborough once described it as "the most delightful place for a landscape painter this country can boast".

There were lots of Grey Wagtails....

Not to be outdone...

but I had a target..... DIPPER! Every time I've been I've seen one.

Lynmouth is linked to the village 700ft above it by a small railway

Just up from Lynton is Watersmeet which has a National Trust tearoom....

and there are worse places to have a tea and scone

I was joined by a few sconepals

So to Arlington Court which was the family home of the Chichester Family.
