Day 2 - In Sorrento

After waking up at stupid o'clock I had one of the longest nights sleeps I've had in ages!! When I awoke it was raining but by the time I had eaten breakfast the rain had stopped so I took a chance left the jacket at home (it was warm!) and stuck a brolly in my camera bag.

We decided today wasn't a date for a boat trip and we had left it a bit late to go to Herculaneum so went to explore Sorrento.

The Duomo (Cathedral) bell tower.

Duomo

On the advice of Laura an Italian lady who I know via facebook and met last year we headed for the Grande Marina which is not where you get the boats but a nice fishing harbour.

The cafe/restaurant we stopped at for coffee was owned by a family who also had there own boat they catch fish land it and serve. The restaurant is where the umbrellas are above.

OOH Sun!

Getting the nets down!

A mobile £1 store!

Back at the restaurant! Fresh fish eh!

What a view! I had fresh clams and pasta.

Back to town.

One of two brides about town.

Matrons of honour for the 2nd bride??
