Wandering around

As there was meant to be a strike on we didn't head for Murano but curiously we found there were buses running and there were planes in the sky. Seems to have been Easy Jet affected. Still the weather was gloriously warm and the same is forecast for tomorrow. There are worse places to be stuck.....

So we went for a wander and will do Murano tomorrow.

The market...... Italian markets are wonderful things. There were 30 odd fish stalls at the fish market.

We stopped for coffee........

Earlier this year the National Gallery had an exhibition of paintings by Paolo Veronese this church San Sebastiano has 15 works by Veronese including the nave ceiling and the sacristy ceiling!!

Not a bad spot for lunch

Into St Mark's Trish offered to buy me a coffee but stuff those prices!! It can be better put to a bottle of wine with dinner!!
