Rye Meads for the first time in ages

I haven't been birding for birding's sake nor to Rye Meads this year! So this afternoon I did both!

It was fairly quiet but I picked up a few year ticks the best of which were Snipe and Green Sandpiper. The birds weren't playing ball!

The rest are fairly random but may interest Trish

When I first saw this Swan I thought it was dead as it seemed to be in this position for ages

And then!

Your choice and methods again are delightful. Just noted this. It might be nice to see some of your photos of it. http://grist.org/list/londons-new-solar-bridge-is-the-largest-in-the-world/
