One of those days that makes you feel good to be a live

I was awoke at silly o'clock this morning. Perhaps my body was thinking that normally I'd be on holiday (I was last year!). The sun was shining so I headed out for an early start we had a sharp frost!

I was in two mind where to go.... Fishers Green may have Nightingales but I thought Amwell might have more variety so Amwell it was.....

A good selection of birds with Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff, Blackcap, Sedge Warler, Swallow, Water Rail, Snipe, a baby coot and..... a Lesser Redpoll!

The day was early but I had a test I wanted to run and yes Trish all of the following were with......

I know you've seen Audley End many times but I think it is interesting to see how a place develops. Ragged Robin does something similar with Castle Bromwich Hall gardens

The walled garden is still a little bare

but some signs of life

Ooh Ladybird!

The fruit trees outside are bare but in the greenhouse.....

and look what was taking advantage

some leaves on the vines....

some leaves on the fruit trees....

Hang on what's that? ooh Red Kite.... where's the telephoto? in the car!

Looks a little devoid of colour....

but not for long!

There were House Martins and..... Swallows! I also got to see Grey Wagtail

I nipped in to the restaurant for lunch..... I was tempted by Broccoli and Stilton soup but it wasn't ready but the Leek and Potato soup was rather good. Nice cake as well.....

I found a nice spot in the garden and read my book..... and it was warm...

Ooh butterflies

It was a sunning day. More like it please!
