Some Roman wildlife

I am coming to the end of my sojourn in Rome. I may have been winding friends up with my texts/tweets about the stunning weather given there is snow at home but it has been gorgeous.

As a tempter here are a few pics of wildlife seen today.

Italian Wall Lizard

Woo hoo Blue Rock Thrush

Black Redstart, it was with the Blue Rock Thrush and it was its tail that put me on to the Rock Thrush

and a last look!

We've seen some stunning birds given it is a city break. Serin, Hooded Crow, Sardinian Warbler, Black Redstart, Peregrine, Siskins (lots and lots! never seen so many) and Blue Rock Thrush (with especial thanks to Corinna for tip!). Lots of Butterflies today and Cicadas also saw a Red Squirrel yesterday

More to follow Tuesday (although not that much wildlife!)
