Ickworth & Hildersham Church

I had promised Trish snowdrops..... now normally I'd go to Anglesey Abbey but for a change we headed to Ickworth (get used to it there will be a few visits throughout the year!).

Would you believe it snowed? ok not much but ye gods! And it was cold!

We headed around the Italianate gardens towards what I call the "mistletoe trees" Trish said is that starlings in that tree? Well  I had heard a Mistle Thrush  but when I stuck my bins on the tree.....WAXWINGS approx 20!  Wow didn't expect that!

Time for a cuppa.......

No idea why the chairs are there.....

Instead of going back to the "posh" restaurant we had a soup from the Porter's Lodge (Carrot & Ginger spicy ! just what was needed).

So with the snow falling we headed back with a detour to Holy Trinity, Hildersham

We saw three Buzzards
