Chartwell

I awoke this morning to sun!

So where to? I decided to head south to Chartwell, its not somewhere I go often. I mentioned to Trish I was heading there and she elected to join me for a stroll.

The house was the home of Winston Churchill, it's not grand but the garden is delightful - if I win the Euro Millions I'll make the National Trust an offer ;)

Before heading off we popped into the restaurant for a cuppa and a cheese and bacon "scone" - tasty.

Had Leek & Potato soup for lunch. The cake looked scrummy but cooler heads prevailed....

And so to home...

Looks a beautifully relaxing place as does the house and garden you visited yesterday. Weather today was beautiful :) Lovely photos as ever Pete.

What a lovely place. Love the chickens and rooster. When you have the chance for a piece of cake, forget the cooler heads and go for it!
