Montacute

We went into Yeovil this morning for some supplies. I'm not sure what Yeovil is like but it looked poor. Lots of closed shops.

We then went on to Montacute. I've been a few times over the year but it is a nice place and one I find relaxing.

Ahem....

A car I'd like to drive :D

There is a nice collection of Royal Portraits on loan from the National Portrait Gallery on the top floor but alas no pictures.....

Today's cake? Chocolate & Orange!

Very impressive house and gardens :D Do like all the wood carvings. Your dad looks very at home on the garden "seat"!!!

Did you have a go on the swing? I wouldn't have been able to resist!! :)

I really like the MG - one of these days when I'm not having to chauffeur family around, I might treat myself to an old MGB!

Oh, we just finished an orange and chocolate chip cake... lovely. :-)

Do you ever come across any William Morris textiles in these places you visit?

Diddums - occasionally. You see more wall paper e.g. Standen in Sussex. The other would be Kelmscott in Oxfordshire.

RR - me in the swing? Nah, well I might of........

Lovely to see your dad smiling, and looks like you visited some lovely places on your travels.
