Forde Abbey

We popped into Axminster first. Another town that I thought looked like it had seen better days :( It did have a Hugh Fearnly Whittingstall deli....

Then on to the lovely Forde Abbey.

 Not bad for a 20mm f1.7!

Today's cake was Ginger.

I'm blown away! What gorgeous flowers. I love the statue of the woman with the duck. Fabulous.

Ha, that reminds me... I bought some 'ginger cake' flour. :-) Smells lovely, and it hasn't been baked yet...

Another lovely house and garden :) Its great to see all the flowers giving so much colour to the gardens in September. The horse doesn't look 46!! Very cute. Ginger cake is my favourite - you are making me hungry!

Now Forde Abbey does look lovely... like the 'boat' seat and love the 'long shot' over the hedges to the house...great scenery :)
