A Black Tern and a day out with his nibs

It's a concert weekend so Trish is up however today I was out with Dad. However before going separate ways I suggested an early start and to go to Amwell. There was method to my madness as a Black Tern had been seen. It's the right hand bird!

There were a few Common Terns and loads of Swallows, House Martins and a few Sand Martin as well as Swifts. And first Goslings of the year!

Anyway I went off to Dad's and he and I went off to Bury St Edmunds and Ickworth.

Curiously the weather perked up a bit....

His nibs wishing it was warmer!

There were lots of House Martins over the small lake and I was chuffed to find a Marsh Tit and these Gosling's with Mum & Dad!

Love the goslings - sounds like a nice day out. Hopefully, it will get warmer (and drier!) soon!
