Exhibit A

Exhibit B

Exhibit C

alright <>> but just compare your garden photos with Trish's for instance and note if you see a difference in quality.

Exhibit B appears to be the smoothest. C, even though it's a larger image size, is still exhibiting the jagged edges on the drainpipe, although not as much as A.

What I normally do for the blog (previously in Photoshop, but now will be in Elements 9) is first to reduce the resolution to 72ppi, then alter the image dimensions to 800 pixels on the longest side. Not sure if your new programme allows such control, but that usually gives a good result.

cheers di

turquis - yeah very odd. I know the third photo is out of focus! odd.

I agree with Di about the "jaggedness" but feel this might be the camera setting causing it.

Di - interesting tip about reducing the ppi - I shall experiment.

And I should add that I then 'save for web'.

It's not just the garden images that are different to Trishia's. The buildings are too.

You obviously need a Canon!! ;)

back in your hutch digibirder we were both using Panasonic GF1s but with different lenes.

I think some of the problems were they way I reduced them.

the garden pics? I'm going to play again!!

I'm sure it's the software you used. If it was the camera setting, I am sure the effects would have shown on all the images.
