Lavenham Guidhall

I had to sort an ISA out today so went to Sudury to do and then went on to Lavenham. I've photograped the vilage many times but never shown you inside the fabulous Guildhall (built 1529-3).

It was a glorious sunny day (warm enough to leave the coat off and just wear a thick fleece. Oh and a glorious sunny day and I shoot mainly black and white :D

Sir enjoying a well earned sit and enjoying the spring sunshine.

The Guildhall - now a fine small museum.

The fine parish church, like the guildhall built with the proceeds of the wool trade

We then went on to Clare Country park, lots of birds singing (and a couple of Chiffchaffs) many more butterflies about this week!

All pics were either Nikon D300 with a 35mm f1.8 lens or a Panasonic GF1 with a 14mm f2.5 lens.

Look no zooms!

Wonderful pictures Pete. Your father is looking great. Sounds like a beautiful day weather wise.

Lavenham lends itself so well to B&W.. and some colour too :D Like the Guildhall pics especially.

(Not sure about the mummified cat however)

And blue sky to end with... glorious!

Nice pics, Pete. I like the effect of black and white with timbered buildings. Guild Hall looks interesting - although I agree with Tricia the mummified cat is a bit gruesome!

Glad someone is seeing plenty of butterflies and chiffchaffs - I haven't seen one of either yet :D
