Sledmere

The weather was better today, the sun threatened to appear but after yesterday dull grey and no rain will do.

I went to tick a church first like my previous visit 7 years before it was locked but I went for the key which was nearby.

774 St Laurence, Scorborough

and so to Sledmere.

on the way the Tattoon-Sykes memorial.

a replica Eleanor Cross turned into a war memorial

another war memorial

The house, lovely inside.

The walled garden is a walled garden within a walled garden. Oh its octagonal.

St Mary, Sledmere

I wandered to the team room for a cup of tea and toast cake. Lovely selection of cakes btw.

Well home tomorrow. I'm going straight back and will get my hair cut!!

The next holiday is 3.5 weeks and is for a full week.

Sledmere looks lovely; despite the grey day you managed to find a great deal of colour.

The Tatton Sykes Memorial is very impressive and the design is so intricate!
