Brideshead Revisited

I had arranged to meet Diane and Keith today and the weather decided not to play ball! It rained!! Virtually all day. Rats!!

Still we met at Castle Howard. The house was designed by John Vanburgh and is most famous nowaday as the setting for Brideshead Revisited.

The wall garden is very attractive.

What a gorgeous place. I love the paintings...one in particular, lol. It must be lovely to have the peacock eating out of ones hand like that man. Love the face in the concrete underneath that picture. You're doing a great job of photo taking once again Pete.

A shame about the weather but you managed to take some great photos again, Pete. The walled garden is beautiful and the house looks incredibly impressive both inside and out.

Castle Howard is so very GRAND isn't it. Amazing interior and the "blue room" is wonderful.

It's years since I visited and didn't really explore the gardens at that time, so lovely to have all your pictures. Extensive vistas!

Sorry you had rain though but sure the company made up for it.
