and some ponies as well for OC

well wifi doesn't work in my room but does in the lounge so....

I did a quick change to my plan for today as a certain person (hi OC!!) wanted to see some ponies. No foals, I was told the stallions were not let out till later last year.

So some ponies and a bonus some deer and a highland cow!

And so for a quick tour around Romsey Abbey. It was founded in the ninth century burned by thee danes and then rebuilt.

I then headed on to Mottisfont Abbey and its wonderful garden. The garden is at its best in June when the roses are out. I was well pleased to find a Spotted Flycatcher.

This may sound hectic but it wasn't really, I popped into Eyeworth pond to see if there were any dragons (there weren't) but there were the dapper Mandarins and a Wood Duck - must be an escape. There was also a Grey Wagtail.

I was sitting watching the ducks go by when a lady asked if I was quack pete. It was Mary from Forest Walks and Karen from wildabout art. Small world eh!! Nice to meet you at last Mary!

Tomorrow will be less varied I think!

Well at least you didn't call me a Dragon. What a coincidence that we should meet!

What a lovely day you've had. The ponies are just wonderful. Another church with very interesting tombs. The gardens and flowers are truly beautiful and imagine meeting up with two other bloggers for the first time.

What a busy day but filled with goodies by the sounds of it. Nice to see Mottisfont Abbey again....

Interesting that the stallions were let out later.. perhaps adverse weather put things on hold.

And great to meet up with Mary !!
