Shooting with Primes

I just didn't want to get out of bed this morning eventually I dragged myself out and headed to Marks & Spencer's to get some "work trousers". With that done where to?

It was foggy so I was unlikely to get any bird pictures so I went to Anglesey Abbey. Normally I'm photographing with zooms but today the Nikon had a Sigma 150 f2.8 macro and the little panny its 20mm f1.7!!

It was quite busy, a few others had had a similar idea!!

The National Trust cafe was heaving so I dipped on my slice of cake and a cuppa :(

Addendum - I LOVE that little panny it means you can travel so light! I also got a few looks, I had the Nikon over the shoulder with the macro (a lovely combo I might add) and I was shooting the views with the panny and I could see people wondering why I was using a compact and not the dSLR. Now if Panasonic are reading (HAH HAH) can the release a 12mm f4 pancake!

Fantastic pictures Pete. The colours are fabulous! I can't get over the beauty. Not only the flowers but the old trees and wood. The scene with the trees and fog is wonderful. I'm glad you finally decided to throw off the duvet and get out there.

Great pictures here Pete, it was well worth venturing out. So lovely to see the Snowdrops and the Aconites.

oc - is that the trees fog and river?

SS - it was a lovely stroll. always something to see there.

the recent weather meant there were no hellebores. :(

Wonderful pictures despite the mist. But it added to the picture of the trees lining the river - very atmospheric! Now - that wooden tree stump......would look good in the woody part of my garden... ;)

The hellebores in my garden are just beginning to show some sign of growth - but whether they'll flower or not....

I love snowdrops - the indoor ones in their pot are struggling - shame - so to see you photos was a joy!

Some great stuff here Pete. Especially the trees with white bark and the foggy scene.
