Pregnant seals threatened

You may not know this, I certainly didn't, that Scottish Seals can be shot during the breeding season. The Environment & Rural Affairs Committee meets to discuss amendments to the Marine (Scotland) Bill.

Campaigners are saying that unless the Bill is amended it could allow for licences to be granted for the killing of heavily pregnant and lactating female seals. The pups of lactating females would also die.

To find out more check out the Advocates for Animals look out for seals campaign.

I didn't know that! Horrendous & horrific! - still can't believe it's allowed to happen. I've signed the petition.
