Autumnal

The weather is truly awful, dull grey, very wet and windy - one of my neighbours fence panels has come out.

It did brighten up for a bit so I sneaked down to Connaught Water. Nothing out of the ordinary about, Great Crested Grebe, Grey Heron, Teal, Shoveller, Gadwall, Tufty and a few Common Gull to add to the Mallards, Black Headed Gulls, Coots, Swans, Canada Geese and Moorhen.

Well done on finding a gap in the rain today - more than I managed. I like the composition of your last Heron shot.

Another great set of photos. The heron is such a magnificent bird.

I love the shots of the heron. I have one staying with me at the moment... yes I know somewhat odd, but it injured it's foot so as I have a large outdoor aviary with a pond it was brought to me for some TLC. It should be ready to go next weekend.

Might be dull, wet, windy, and grey, Pete, but the Autumn colours of the trees take some beating.
Great photos by the way.

After the photo of the Tufty. Down i would love to see those photo's in B/W Pete, just a thought. I think they would be very atmospheric.
