So how am I finding Twitter

For those of you who wonder what the point of twitter is?

Well the RSPB's Twitter feed gave a link to this article about Dragonfly migration which is simply amazing!

A photography related feed gave a link to the free alternatives to photoshop (the full version not elements). Gimp as recommended by the minx looks interesting.

The Dogs Trust feed gives an update on the new centre in Dublin and to alert people to a lost dog.

Via the National Trust feed i've discovered it has a you tube feed. This is recipe for Roasted Partridge with Pumpkin soup.

Ok I'm sure there is a lot of rubbish out there, and I only have 32 followers, but actually it has its uses.

Oh, I could have told you about Gimp and other free software... Inkscape and Paint.net are two.

I found Gimp hard to get the hang of, but that just means I didn't try very hard! Kept wanting to go back to what I knew, but that usually means you miss out on the special things it can do. I have Photoshop Elements and Paintshop Pro, but found myself using Paint.net for processes the other two couldn't do.

I get that you were just making a point about Twitter, though. :-)

I felt the same way about Stumbleupon; you find such interesting sites through it... they were worth a blog post or two also. But in the end I felt overwhelmed, and stopped visiting my page there.

Will check out the alternatives to photoshop. Although I probably wouldn't be able to figure out how to use photoshop or any of the alternatives, lol. Still, worth having a look. I've been wondering if you were enjoying Twitter and it seems like you are.

diddums :D

OC - I think you may find them overkill!! I use a simple version of Photoshop called elements and another simple package called corel. and I barely use all the functionality!!

I'm still not sure about Twitter, but I suppose you do find some interesting topics on there.
