Watching each other

In Epping this morning I turned left towards my rat run. This has the joy of avoiding the lights and traffic cameras of Epping AND the fact I might see the odd bit of wildlife.

I was still in the last few houses of Epping when I saw a Fox standing by the side of the road. I do think a Fox standing on an urban garden is incongrous. I looked at him as I drove past (he is I think a rural fox, looked less scrawny than the ones you see in the centres of large towns) and he looked at me.

I looked in my mirror and he was watching me drive down the road.

I thought you were going to say they'd set up roadworks so you had to go and sit with the main traffic after all. :-)

I don't think I've ever seen a fox except in pictures and film.

I see quite a few when I take Jim for his early morning walks round here. They sit, and stare, and then reluctantly move off.
I always enjoy seeing them.
