Happy Birthday to the Old Boy

Well its Dads 80th today so Happy Birthday to Dad, I bought him an ice cream this afternoon :D

I didn't see Barney last night but he was giving super views this morning he was just opposite the minor road from my bedroom window !!

It was cloudy and cool this morning, bit of a shock after wall to wall sunshine. We had a stroll around Stow-on-the-Wold.

Where to? I know you've seen it before but I took dad to Charlecote Park and the sun came out!! The house was built in 1551.

The gardens are small but attractive and the park is wildlife friendly. There were loads of Banded Demoiselle's and some deer.

Now here is something odd, we left Charlecote in sunshine but when we got back to the cottage it was CHUCKING it down.

Anyway a good week with lovely weather, couldn't ask for more really.

Many Happy Returns to your Dad, Pete. You've had a good week.
And ice cream!

Good bit of framing at Charlecote Park with the tree, and a great shot of the running Deer.

Happy 80th Birthday Dad :) Sorry to hear about the rain - threatened but, as yet, not arrived chez moi!

Charlecote Park looks good!

This is getting amusing! After asking about Bourton-on-the-water, and you being there probably while I was writing it, I was going to ask if you were thinking of Stow and Charlecote! We go to Stow regularly, but haven't been to Charlecote for some years. When you have time can you settle an argument about Snowshill, I'm sure I remember a narrow spiral staircase (which I didn't enjoy climbing) possibly leading to the nursery but HLH doesn't remember it at all. It was a fair few years ago we went though.

Lovely photos Pete.

Many Happy Returns to the birthday boy!
