Claydon

I'm not ignoring comments for some reasons though i can moderate them the comments box won't open, I'll reply on return. Thanks though for the BBC id. I thought it might be but it didn't seem that broad!!

I awoke at 6:30 through back the curtains to see something white drop into the field opposite. It soon came up... a Barn Owl!! He was still about when I was getting dressed much later!

Today we went to Buckingham first

and then went to Claydon.

The grounds and garden (the later not national trust) are superb. The house is only a third the size it was, although not packed with stuff the carvings alone are worth a visit but the piece de resistance is the stair case which is a masterpiece!!

There were also some four spot chasers. Lots of damsels etc.

The church is Middle Clayton parish church which sits next to the house.

Tomorrow will have a few Cotswold villages.
