Not what I had planned.

Well everything I thought I was going do today as I pulled out of the car park didn't happen. And I'm not sure why!!

I sort of arrived at Pulborough Brooks which surprised me as my birding lens was in my bedroom. I was tempted therefore not to take a camera but I took the 70-300 along.

It was a bit quiet bird wise despite Nightingales singing deep in bushes.

And then I came across these chaps....

Interloper!

I saw this chap on a village pond....

So where to now? The prefered option didn't open til 2 and it was 12:15 so onto Parham House.

St Peter's is in the park.....

... of the rather fine Parham House

and so for a tour of the gardens....

One of those days when you wanted to turn right and the car turned left eh!

I've never seen so many deer at Pulborough before - nice pics of them. The flying egret is nice!

And some very familiar sights of Parham! Nice pictures all.

Really enjoyed sharing your day Pete, and the pictures.
That was a lot of deer all out together; great sight. Good capture of the Little Egret too.

You can tuck that skull plaque away for me, lol. I really like that fountain beside the bench. The photos are wonderful once again Pete. I'm enjoying your holiday.
