Blenheim

Well we've been to Blenheim today. Blenheim was built by John Churchill. After his victory at Blenheim parliament voted him £250,000 to build, well, a palace!!

Churchill was also created the 1st Duke of Marlborough and was one of England's greatest generals and yet today he is not that well known.

Blenheim was also where Winston Churchill was born.

Saw my first Darter dragonflies of the year.

And this fellow gave a lot of people great pleasure. Alas I only had my travel zoom.

There were two target churches in the area and so.....

758 St Mary, Kidlington

and FOURTH time lucky for

759 St Bartholmew, Yarnton

Great shots of the bird. Nice house that Churchill was born in, lol.

Great captures of the Kestrel Pete, with some good detail.
