Save the Whale

May I point you to this story in the Independent.

It appears that the whaling nations are yet again try to lift the hunting ban.

Japan is already flouting the ban by claiming they are only taking Whales for "scientific purpose".

I'm sorry but to me the hunting of Whales is something I will not support and we have to tell our elected officials this is a no compromise issue.

This is scandalous and please don't apologise for not supporting the killing of these beautiful beasts.

And I have to agree about letting our officials know about about this being a NO-Go issue - in no uncertain terms!

I could not agree more with the sentiments of this senseless slaughter of whales. Alas, as faras our 'officials' we will only hear the usual duplicity of their response!!

I totally agree with what you say, how can these beautiful creatures be hunted i don't care for what reason these governments are giving for their actions certainly doesn't make it any better. Soon there will none left if we humans keep this pretence up of it being science!! ooh i'm so angry now!!

That they are being used for scientific purposes is bull. It sickens me. And doesn't Norway do and say the same thing. You're getting me going here now!

Yes, the 'scientific purposes' label is window dressing in my eyes too, the simple truth is: They want the meat! And yes, whales are incredible beautiful animals!

As are, cows, porks, sheeps etc. pp. Don't get me wrong, I don't like to see the whales slaughtered by japanese, norwegian or icelandic whale killing fleets but I am equally sick of the disgusting long mass transports of live animals to the slaughterhouse and cruel death they find there. Or 'hen farms'or... etc. etc. etc.
