Visiting Winston

I took Dad over the border into Kent to visit Winston Spencer Churchill's home at Chartwell. Chartwell is a modest house but one you can live in. It contains a decent collection of Churchill memorabillia.

The gardens are rather lovely.

The view from the balcony.

From one of the garden buildings.

This rose walk was planted for Winston and Clementine's 50th wedding anniversary.

The gardener tries to work out....

.... what this bean is.

There is a photo in the house of Churchill walking across these stones
