Red Squirrels fight back on Anglesey

So what shall we talk about today then? Germany's bulletproof bras? orgasm for women at the touch of the button?

Well methinks not (although I bet you've clicked on the links :D )

No we'll talk about the fact that there will be an estimated 150 Red Squirrels at Newborough Forest Anglesey this year. The squirrels were reintroduced in 2004 and this year there were 20 litters.

The red squirrel faced extinction from the island in 1997 when a community-based project led by Menter Môn set out to turn around the Squirrels fortunes.

The flagship project has removed (I presume they mean culled) more than 7,000 of the non-native grey squirrels, they reckon that today fewer than 50 greys remain on Anglesey.

I'm not a big fan of culls but on island like Anglesey I can see the logic. It is a small area and easier to keep the Greys back on the main land.

I was more interested in the bras ;o) I passed on the link to a police officer here at the office.

Pete, your photos... You do magic with that camera. The Terns in flight wow'd me and that butterfly is the prettiest I've seen!

Thanks for visiting. I've been having trouble finding time to visit others.

I HAD to open the link about the bra, hadn't I? LOL
Do you know how rare it is over here that shootings let along shootings in which police staff is involved occurs? Typical German to fullfill a (feeled) need which is not really there! Well, I guess we just don't have other things we should be worried about! LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL
