Homeward bound

Well I headed home straight after breakfast. You may notice I often do, i won't head straight home after my next break in 3 weeks (cough) when I have a long weekend in Surrey. I decided I'd go for a stroll around Rye Meads.

There were two Green Sandpipers at the Draper hide and a further 9 ! at the Moorhen hide. My big telephoto lens was at home.

Lots of young birds around at this time of year. Lots of Tufties.

Gadwall.

Love the carving of Old Stu, I wonder if he existed? Squirrel is cute too!

I had to come all the way to Catalunya to see a green sandpiper.
