Winter Colour

I woke at 5am this morning and thought stuff this and pulled the duvet up and woke up again at 7.

No snow I see. I wandered over to Hatfield Forest. The birds were singing, 'peckers were drumming and Blue Tits displaying. The Grebes were swimming together and amongst the many Mallards, Pochard and Tufties were a Shelduck and a lovely male Mandarin.

So where now? Oh yes I mentioned a trip to Anglesey Abbey. The car park was packed!! Anyway it's February 2nd and the gardens were looking rather nice.

Hooray, you took your camera! Well one, the pictures are gorgeous. The silver birches look as though they have been washed, such a contrast to their surroundings. I feel far more hopeful now that spring is about to be sprung!
