I am a Mole and I live in a Hole

The People's Trust for Endangered Species are running a survey to find out more about Moles and want people to report sightings of molehills at Molewatch.

To see a rather cool picture of a Mole

PTES seem to run a number of surveys and you can house a Dormouse or adopt a Hedgehog.

There's no shortage of moles around here for sure. It's harder to spot a field without a million molehills. The farmers hate them. Apparently animals can break their legs by putting their foot down the hole. I take it with a pinch of salt. I speak from experience too from when we had our field and a big fall out with the neighbours who brought in the mole killer every year to put poisoned worms down the holes. Disgusting. We were furious because our chickens were out in that field, they used our field to graze their sheep and thought it was in order to do this. And yes, I'm talking about Irene (my friend!)

Wonderful little mole! I'd love to give a home to a dormouse, think they'd send one to me??
