If it's Thursday it must be Hatfield House

I started off by popping down to Amwell. It was murky and I was hoping the fog might keep some migrant on te ground but as the sun burnt off the mist it was just the usuals.

3 Common Sandpipers, Snipe, Wigeon, Water Rail and a Hobby.

I then popped into Hatfield House, I decided on Thursday as the East Garden is open on Thursday. On Wednesday to Friday's you visit by guided tour. Hatfield is noted as the place where Elizabeth I found out she was to be Queen but as the guide says Elizabeth never slept in Hatfield House but at the old house that you can see part of in the garden.

The House is magnificent and if you are in the area I highly recommend a visit. The gardens are pretty fine as well.

This is a bit big!! Why is it they occur when you have one lens?

Hello what are these doing here?

You didnt go in the house I take it, or just not allowed to take photos? The inside is fantastic. I remember being completely pissed off about the maze, heard about it beforehand and thought how cool it would be to go in a maze, then found out its about 12 inches high! You should've called round my mums for a cup of tea. :D
