Another Day at Rye Meads

So after lunch I grabbbed my camera and went for a stroll around Rye Meads.

I normally say how quiet it is. When I arrived at the Draper Hide there was 2 Green Sandpipers, a Snipe and a Common Sandpiper.

I strolled on to the Moorhen Hide and started counting Green Sandpipers 1,2,3.... 7,8 uh 9 of the little devils.

and a Snipe amongst them.

So off to the Ashby hide. Oh look 2 Green Sandpipers ! And then this chap dropped in.

I was struck by how Autumn had arrived Teal's were coming back and the Tern's had gone.

Why is it you always see Kingfishers?

Make sure you bring your luck with you to Barnes!!!

I've noticed how quickly autumn is arriving here too, today passed lots of trees with golden leaves drifting down, and my heart goes in my boots. It's also now 8.20 and pitch black. Sigh.

I think the Canada Geese pic is great too.
