Barnes Again

Went with Nic to Barnes today. Annoyingly the Peacock tower was closed!!

Used the trip as "snapping" practice.

All uneventful until the journey home!! When we managed to take a wrong turning oh we laughed.

And I think I have a puncture :( but a nice day in good company.

Lovely photos, glad you had a good day, your weather was obviously better than here, as usual. It was overcast but at least no wind or rain today. Love the Mandarin ducks, my fave water birds.

mart - oh ducks are cool. even the mallard has great colours. most of those are "foreign" though. captives

digi - set shutter speed and iso!! not auto!! no fainting

Super pics Pete, dare you post the ones you took of Nic?

Loved the mandarins and the very colourful geese, can't remember their names, will look them up later, unless you care to spare me some time and tell me.

Glad you had a good day out with Nic, apart from getting lost that is, oh and the possible puncture!

boo - presume you mean Red Breasted Gesse.

oc - most of the birds in photos are in a collection. Pretty though! the advantage of the UK is its fairly small!
